Did you notice unusually high numbers of Green Herons at Anahuac? When we were there a couple of weeks ago, my favorite little herons seemed to be everywhere. On the other hand, I only saw one Great Blue.
There were lots - at least 8. We didn't see a single Great or Little Blue.
