Whistling Ducks are still very active on the CyFair college campus. It seems that I see them whenever I walk from building to building. If they're not flying overhead, whistling away, they're perched on the top of various posts and poles.

On my way out of work yesterday, I stopped for a minute at the retention ponds to see how the ducklings are getting along. Only four of them were visible, being led around the pond by a parent. They're growing up fast and their stripes have given way to plumage that is beginning to resemble that of the adult birds.

Aren't they just. The sight of them never fails to make me smile.
